Preferred availability: Full-time internship preferred. Candidates who can commit to at least 3 consecutive days per week will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Review marketing assets, KOL scripts, social media content, landing pages, app store listings, push notifications, and CRM copy. Identify and correct overly literal translations, inappropriate tone, honorific errors, and inconsistent terminology.
  2. Adapt and create Japanese marketing content based on product selling points and English or Chinese briefs, including ad copy, creative headlines, short-form video scripts, social media posts, and other materials.
  3. Track content trends across platforms such as X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LINE. Research how education and language-learning products communicate with Japanese audiences, and recommend content topics, trust-building approaches, and creative ideas.
  4. Review key app journeys, including registration, profile setup, lessons, trials, subscriptions, and payments. Check for missing translations, English fallbacks, truncated text, full-width and half-width character inconsistencies, date and number formatting, and page information issues.
  5. Organize feedback and reviews from Japanese users; maintain a Japanese terminology glossary, style guide, and issue tracker; and follow up on localization fixes.

Requirements

  1. Native-level Japanese, with strong writing, proofreading, and content adaptation skills.
  2. Able to communicate at work in English or Chinese and accurately understand product and marketing briefs.
  3. Currently enrolled at a Japanese university or a recent graduate. Majors in languages, communications, advertising, marketing, product, or education are preferred.
  4. Familiar with Japanese internet culture and major social media platforms; able to identify machine-translated, overly promotional, or unnatural language.
  5. Strong attention to detail and clear reasoning, with the ability to distinguish language, content, display, and product-flow issues. Relevant internship or project experience is a plus.
