This role will take ownership of end-to-end recruitment for Korea while partnering closely with business leaders on workforce planning, team development, employee engagement and other people-related matters. Beyond filling vacancies, you will help hiring managers identify the right talent, improve hiring decisions and build a strong local team.
The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of recruitment or HR experience, strong hands-on sourcing capabilities and the potential to grow into a broader People Business Partner role within an international, fast-growing AI education company.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
- Partner with Korea business leaders and global HR stakeholders to understand business priorities, organisational needs and hiring plans.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for Korea-based positions, including role intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Translate business requirements into clear and realistic candidate profiles and recruitment strategies.
- Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, Korean recruitment platforms, professional networks, referrals and recruitment agencies.
- Conduct structured candidate interviews and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations to hiring managers.
- Advise hiring managers on talent availability, compensation expectations, candidate quality and recruitment challenges in the Korean market.
- Build sustainable talent pipelines for priority and recurring positions.
- Track recruitment progress and use hiring data to identify bottlenecks and improve recruitment effectiveness.
- Ensure a professional and consistent candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
Hiring Manager Partnership
- Act as a trusted recruitment partner to hiring managers, providing guidance throughout the hiring and selection process.
- Support managers in defining role requirements, evaluating candidates and making balanced hiring decisions.
- Set clear expectations regarding recruitment timelines, candidate availability and market conditions.
- Provide interview guidance and help improve the quality and consistency of candidate assessments.
- Regularly review hiring progress with business leaders and recommend adjustments when required.
People and Employee Support
- Support new-hire onboarding, probation reviews and early-stage employee integration.
- Conduct regular check-ins with new employees and identify potential engagement, performance or retention risks.
- Serve as an approachable point of contact for Korea employees on day-to-day people-related matters.
- Support managers with employee communication, feedback, performance discussions and basic people-management matters.
- Assist with employee engagement, retention and team-culture initiatives.
- Support offboarding and exit interviews, and share relevant insights with business and HR leaders.
Local HR and Global Collaboration
- Work closely with the Korea business team and global HR colleagues to implement people initiatives locally.
- Provide Korea-specific insights on talent trends, compensation, employee expectations and workplace practices.
- Support the local implementation of global HR policies and processes.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors on employment documentation, payroll-related information and other HR operational matters.
- Maintain accurate recruitment and employee records.
- Escalate employee relations or compliance matters to the appropriate internal or external specialists.
- Support regional and global HR projects when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment or a combined TA and HR role.
- Strong hands-on experience managing end-to-end recruitment.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively source and engage candidates rather than relying only on inbound applications or recruitment agencies.
- Experience partnering directly with hiring managers and advising them on recruitment decisions.
- Some exposure to onboarding, employee engagement, performance management or general HR operations.
- Good understanding of the Korean talent market and local recruitment channels.
- Strong communication, stakeholder-management and problem-solving skills.
- Native or fluent Korean and professional working proficiency in English.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

- Experience recruiting for marketing, growth, operations, product or technology roles.
- Basic knowledge of Korean labour regulations and HR practices.
- Interest in developing toward a broader HR Business Partner or People Partner career path.
