Product Data Manager
Product, Data Science
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
About the Role
We are building an AI-native learning platform for children worldwide, providing them with a truly personalized and continuously evolving learning experience through AI Tutor, voice interaction (ASR/TTS), Agent Workflow, and large-scale model capabilities.
Our product iterates rapidly, with data serving as the foundation for driving AI decision-making and growth. We are looking for a data product manager in the early stages of their career who has already integrated AI into their work—you don't need to have accumulated years of experience in the "pre-AI era" manually, but you must already be accustomed to using AI to multiply your output several times over.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the team's event tracking and metrics system: Analyze business events, define event tracking plans, and maintain core metric definitions to ensure data reliability and reusability.
- Build a growth and retention analysis dashboard based on the global ToC user lifecycle (AARRR), translating user behavior into insights directly usable by the product and growth teams.
- Participate in the accumulation of user data assets and learning behavior data, structuring children's learning processes/outcomes into quantifiable metrics to provide data support for AI Tutor and course optimization.
- Participate in data work for AI product evaluation (collection and presentation of metrics such as Prompt/Agent/LLM quality and learning effectiveness), helping the team understand the effectiveness of AI teaching.
- Support the implementation of A/B experiments: Define experimental metrics, analyze results, and provide actionable conclusions.
- Collaborate with algorithm, data engineering, growth, and product teams to accelerate the implementation of data requirements.
Requirements
- Native AI working style (core requirement): You have integrated AI tools (such as Claude/Cursor) into your daily work—using them to write/call SQL, draft PRDs and event tracking plans, and perform data analysis and documentation; you instinctively think, "Can this step be automated?" when encountering repetitive tasks. During the interview, you will be asked to demonstrate how you use AI for data PM work.
- Broad knowledge and clear concepts: You understand the basic principles of event tracking, data warehousing, indicator systems, and data dashboards, and how they are interconnected; we don't require extensive practical experience in pre-AI eras, but you must be able to implement these end-to-end with AI assistance.
- SQL and basic data modeling skills; you can understand data and verify conclusions by generating data yourself. Understand the basic concepts of AI products (LLM, Agent, Prompt, Evaluation) and know how they generally work.
- Understand the basic logic of user growth and experimental design (AARRR, A/B testing).
- Strong structured thinking skills, steep learning curve (slope > years of experience), able to independently bring a project to completion with oversight.
- Excellent English reading and writing skills, able to support global team collaboration.
Bonus Points
- Overseas ToC product experience, OPC background preferred.
- Education, subscription, or consumer internet background.
- Experience with Recommendation/Personalization/Learning Analytics.
- Understanding of AI Evaluation, Prompt Engineering, RAG, or LLM data loop.
- Understanding of children's data compliance (COPPA, GDPR-K).
- Personal projects or case studies demonstrating the use of AI tools to build gadgets/automate processes.
