We are looking for a highly skilled Event Marketing Manager to support the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of high-impact in-person and virtual events. Events are a key driver of Discovery Education’s brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth. This position reports to the Director of National Event Marketing and collaborates closely with Marketing, Sales, and external partners to design experiences that accelerate pipeline, deepen partner relationships, and showcase the organization’s unique value and culture. From trade shows and road shows to customer activations and internal experiences, this individual ensures every event is flawlessly executed and aligned with company goals. Success in this role will be measured by event execution quality, lead capture and engagement, pipeline contribution, cost efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction.

In This Role You Will:

Event Strategy and Execution

  • Lead end-to-end event strategy and execution for national trade shows, annual user conferences, third-party sponsorships, and high-profile executive events that align with company goals and brand positioning
  • Support in the development of new event experiences designed to engage prospects and partners
  • Coordinate and manage logistics for strategic events including venue selection, registration, catering, A/V, décor, collateral, onsite staffing, and premium giveaways
  • Partner with C-suite stakeholders to align event goals with overarching brand and business priorities; Identify and manage outreach to sponsors, collaborators, and partners to enhance event impact

Operations and Budget Management

  • Maintain project plans to track event milestones and ensure timely, on-budget delivery
  • Ensure operational excellence across all event phases, identifying and mitigating risks proactively
  • Identify cost-savings opportunities across vendors and service providers (e.g., catering, A/V, entertainment)
  • Manage invoices, check requests, monthly statements, and expense reports with accuracy

Lead Generation and Marketing Integration

  • Collaborate with Marketing to promote events through email, social media, paid media, website, and internal channels; align event objectives with broader campaign goals and key stages of the customer journey
  • Leverage Salesforce campaigns and data to optimize lead capture, follow-up, and ROI analysis
  • Analyze event performance and apply insights to improve future campaigns

Credentials and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in event planning, marketing, and/or operations (B2B SaaS and/or education market preferred)
  • Proven ability to lead complex events from concept to execution
  • Experience managing event communications, workflows, and analytics
  • Working knowledge of Canva and Salesforce required, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, HTML/CSS preferred
  • Experience with Asana or other project management software
  • BS/MS degree in marketing or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Must be able to travel up to 30% during peak conference seasons and work occasional evenings/weekends
  • Legal right to work in the United States

This role is designed to be hybrid. You can expect to work primarily in a typical office setting, with the ability to travel for events as needed. Candidates must be based in the United States and have flexibility to support occasional non-business hour engagements.
