About Learn Capital:

At Learn, we back and build tech-enabled companies that advance human flourishing. Core to our thesis is the idea that humans have extraordinary potential but often lack the tools and resources they need to realize their potential. We’re raising our fifth fund and have recently invested in some companies we’re convinced will add to the list of household names in our portfolio.

Who you’ll work with:

Greg Mauro is the Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Learn Capital and oversees the investing practice of the firm. He has helped lead Learn investments in companies such as Coursera, Udemy, General Assembly, OnDeck, Ascent, Wave Neuro, and MindPortal. Greg is the Co-Founder of Edmodo, the world's largest social network for learning with over 100 million users. Greg helped incubate and co-found Higher Ground Education, the world's largest Montessori operator, where he serves on the board and is the largest investor. Greg has also served on the board of NewGlobe as the company has grown from serving one school to over eight thousand, transforming the lives of over 3 million students across Africa and India.

Before Learn, Greg founded SmartDrive, Nextivity, and Tachyon, a predecessor to SpaceX’s Starlink used by the US Dept. of Defense. Greg’s ventures have collectively raised over $500M in venture capital.

Greg co-owns Powder Mountain, the largest ski resort in the United States alongside Reed Hastings of Netflix. Greg’s exploits — visiting over 100 countries, surfing on six continents, buying his local ski mountain — have been covered in The New York Times, Financial Times, The Atlantic, Surfer Magazine, and Ski Magazine.
