  • Design and implement APIs and backend services using technologies such as GraphQL and REST.
  • Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure resources using Terraform and AWS services.
  • Contribute to frontend development efforts using JavaScript, React, and TypeScript as needed.
  • Define system requirements and architecture standards for new and existing applications.
  • Implement security best practices and improve consistency, scalability, and data integrity across internal platforms.
  • Support major application deployments, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance activities.
  • Review peer code and contribute across multiple internal repositories and engineering initiatives.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, support users, and improve application workflows and tooling.

Requirements

  • Strong Python programming skills and experience with web frameworks such as Flask or Django
  • Experience developing APIs using REST, GraphQL, or related technologies
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or DynamoDB
  • Understanding of ORM libraries such as SQLAlchemy
  • Experience deploying and supporting cloud infrastructure within AWS environments
  • Familiarity with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools
  • General frontend development knowledge using React, JavaScript, or TypeScript
  • Experience with Docker or containerized application environments
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer support skills
  • Ability to gather technical requirements and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders

Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience developing internal business or operational applications
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, logistics, inventory, or product lifecycle systems
  • Familiarity with bill of materials (BOM) management and data integrity workflows
  • Strong Linux systems knowledge
  • Experience supporting authentication, authorization, and access control systems
  • Experience working within fast-paced engineering or operations environments

Benefits:
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Employer (HireArt) subsidized healthcare benefits (eligibility begins on the first of the month following 60 days of service)
  • Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs
  • HireArt covers all costs for short- and long-term disability and life insurance
  • 401k package

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be hybrid, requiring at least three days per week onsite, and is available to candidates local to the Foster City, CA area.
