HireArt is helping our client find Vehicle Installation Technicians to play a critical role in preparing vehicles for deployment by executing standardized installation procedures for advanced technology systems.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for installing, mounting, and validating hardware components on vehicles while ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and according to established processes.
The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow documented work instructions with precision.
Available Shifts
AM: 6:00AM-2:30PM, Monday-Friday
PM: 2:00PM-10:30PM, Monday-Friday
Note: Initial training will follow a Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM schedule for approximately two weeks before transitioning to one of the shift options above.
As a Vehicle Installation Technician, you'll:

As a Vehicle Installation Technician, you'll:
- Execute documented installation procedures and work instructions on assigned vehicles.
- Mount, align, and secure component groups according to engineering specifications.
- Route wiring harnesses, connect electrical components, and ensure proper cable management.
- Perform system power-up procedures and validate hardware functionality.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks throughout the installation process.
- Accurately document completed work and communicate any issues to supervisors or engineering teams.
- Follow standard operating procedures and established workflows without deviation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process inefficiencies and reporting concerns.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- Experience with hardware assembly, installation, or mechanical work
- Comfortable using hand tools and basic power tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to follow technical instructions
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, diagrams, and assembly documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and work around vehicles throughout the workday
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in automotive, robotics, manufacturing, aerospace, or vehicle integration environments
- Familiarity with wiring harnesses, electrical connections, and low-voltage systems
- Experience performing quality inspections or validation testing
- Previous experience working in a production, assembly, or field installation setting
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in and around vehicles, including kneeling, crouching, and reaching into confined spaces
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. The role is onsite and available to candidates local to the San Francisco, CA area.
