  • Foster a strong safety-first culture while promoting excellent customer service standards.
  • Conduct regular driver check-ins, coaching, and performance feedback discussions.
  • Participate in operational communication channels, including Slack-based incident and operations coordination.
  • Operate hybrid and electric vehicles to provide on-demand transit services as needed.
  • Safely operate and troubleshoot wheelchair ramp systems on applicable vehicles.
  • Provide excellent customer service while assisting riders in a professional and accessible manner.
  • Respond to operational challenges, rider concerns, and incidents with sound judgment and professionalism.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Monitor driver performance and adherence to operational and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, incident documentation, and research-related reporting.
  • Support ongoing research efforts by identifying trends, documenting observations, and contributing operational insights.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Experience operating a variety of vehicles, including hybrid and electric models
  • Ability to safely operate or quickly learn wheelchair ramp systems
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills under pressure
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a research-oriented and operational environment
  • Interest in or willingness to learn about autonomous vehicle technology and micro-transit systems
  • Commitment to the goMARTI mission of providing safe, reliable, and innovative transportation

Benefits:
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Employer (HireArt) subsidized Healthcare Benefits
  • Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs
  • HireArt covers all costs for short- and long-term disability and life insurance
  • 401k package

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position, managed by HireArt, and located in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Please note: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review, and drug screening (including THC).
