HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Test Engineer - Overwatch to join its product software QA team.
In this role, you’ll support manual and automated testing for Overwatch, a mission-critical web application supporting autonomous vehicle operations. You’ll play a key role in release validation, vehicle mission testing, and defect triage activities while also contributing to the development and maintenance of Playwright-based automated test coverage.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically curious, and comfortable working across software validation, operational workflows, and cross-functional QA activities in a fast-paced environment.
As a Test Engineer - Overwatch, you'll:
As a Test Engineer - Overwatch, you'll:
- Develop, maintain, and expand Playwright automation test cases to improve regression coverage and testing efficiency.
- Perform manual testing for Overwatch features, releases, hotfixes, and pre-merge validations.
- Conduct vehicle mission testing and provide detailed reporting and analysis on mission outcomes and operational workflows.
- Support defect triage activities by identifying, reproducing, isolating, and validating issues across development, staging, and production environments.
- Partner cross-functionally with developers, QA leads, and product managers to ensure feature validation completeness and release readiness.
- Provide QA validation and release sign-off while ensuring testing activities meet established quality standards.
- Document test results, maintain traceability to requirements, and track issues through resolution.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements, automation initiatives, and QA workflow optimization efforts.
- Utilize AI tools and automation-driven approaches to improve testing efficiency and operational processes.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline
- 1-3 years of experience in QA, software testing, or test engineering roles supporting complex applications or systems
- Experience with testing and defect-tracking tools such as JIRA and TestRail
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on quality and process improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Playwright or other automated testing frameworks
- Experience supporting operational workflows or mission-critical applications
- Familiarity with autonomous vehicle, robotics, or operations-focused environments
