Job description

HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a PLM Applications Support Engineer to support the development, configuration, and maintenance of Product Lifecycle Management systems and applications.

In this role, you’ll perform configuration, customization, and support for CAD and 3DExperience (3DX) and Enovia applications, while assisting users with effective use of 3DX PLM software. You’ll also perform system diagnostics, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing system maintenance and support.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of related experience and a strong background working with Enovia, 3DExperience, and CAD systems such as CATIA V6. You have excellent organizational, problem solving, and communication skills and a willingness to work with teams and individuals.

As a PLM Applications Support Engineer, you'll:
  • Install 3DX services and applications in Linux environments.
  • Upgrade 3DEXPERIENCE major releases and Fix Packs.
  • Automate database refreshes between multiple environments.
  • Configure reverse proxies and load balancers.
  • Analyze and improve 3DSpaceIndexing performance.
  • Manage FCS configuration and filestore syncing.
  • Use MS SQL knowledge to analyze slowness and database lock issues.
  • Support and maintain DSLS environments.
  • Develop new or enhanced methods and techniques to resolve problems.
  • Develop software integrations between Enovia and existing database systems using Web Services, XML, and related development tools.
  • Develop Java Program Objects (JPOs) and Tcl/Tk scripts to implement triggers and clean up migrated database information.
  • Develop and document test procedures and assist with unit, integration, and regression testing activities.
  • Execute testing across various use cases and business process scenarios.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project planning, recommend approaches, identify resources, and develop timelines.
  • Communicate issues and alternative solutions effectively while taking initiative to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and problems within the Enovia PLM system.
  • Perform system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and day-to-day system maintenance.
  • Provide end-user support, training, and mentoring.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, information systems, computer science, or technology related field
  • 6+ years of related experience.
  • 4+ years of experience with Enovia applications, integrations of ERP, Solidworks, CATIA V6 to the 3DExperience platform, Java, JSP, Windows Server Administration
  • Working knowledge of 3DExperience, CAD Systems like CATIA V6.

  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills and a willingness to work with teams and individuals.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to learn new skills, meet deadlines, embrace new technologies, and follow processes.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to be customer-focused and service-oriented.
  • Experience gathering and interpreting requirements to develop solutions.
