Job description

HireArt is helping our client find a motivated Automotive Technician to support vehicle maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and fleet readiness activities.

In this role, you’ll assist with routine vehicle service, troubleshooting, and repair work across a variety of mechanical and electrical systems. You’ll work closely with technicians, engineering teams, and operations staff to help maintain vehicle reliability and support day-to-day fleet operations in a fast-paced environment.

We’re looking for candidates with strong foundational automotive maintenance experience, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new vehicle technologies and systems.

As an Automotive Technician, you'll:
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repair activities.
  • Troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical vehicle issues using standard diagnostic tools and repair procedures.
  • Support fleet readiness by assisting with vehicle servicing, testing, and quality checks.
  • Perform part replacements, preventative maintenance, and general repair work.
  • Assist with documenting repair procedures, service records, and inspection findings.
  • Work closely with senior technicians and cross-functional teams to resolve vehicle issues efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.
  • Assist with parts inventory, tool organization, and shop operations as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of automotive technician, maintenance, or related mechanical experience
  • Basic understanding of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience using automotive hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to follow repair procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Bonus Qualifications:
  • Technical trade school certification or coursework in automotive technology or a related field
  • ASE certifications or manufacturer training
  • Experience working in fleet, dealership, or service environments
  • Familiarity with vehicle electrical systems, wiring diagrams, or diagnostic troubleshooting
  • Experience with EVs, ADAS technologies, or autonomous vehicle systems
  • Familiarity with shop software, inventory systems, or service documentation tools
