HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a Technical Program Manager to lead the development and execution of the communication backbone supporting its autonomous vehicle fleet.
In this role, you’ll drive high-impact programs focused on the teleoperation and connectivity systems that enable remote assistance for autonomous vehicles operating in complex urban environments. You’ll work with a high degree of autonomy while partnering closely with senior engineering and product leadership to drive strategic initiatives across infrastructure, networking, platform, and software systems.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth, exceptional program leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale engineering initiatives in fast-paced environments.

As a Technical Program Manager, you'll:
- Lead end-to-end program management for large-scale, cross-functional engineering initiatives from strategy through execution and delivery.
- Partner closely with senior engineering and product leaders to influence roadmaps, prioritization, resourcing, and organizational planning.
- Drive programs related to teleoperation, communication infrastructure, networking, and distributed systems supporting autonomous vehicle operations.
- Define and improve program management frameworks, processes, and operational best practices across engineering organizations.
- Coordinate complex dependencies across multiple engineering teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, escalations, trade-offs, and execution challenges across programs and portfolios.
- Communicate effectively with executive stakeholders, translating technical complexity into clear business impact and actionable insights.
- Participate in architectural reviews and technical scoping discussions to assess feasibility, sequencing, dependencies, and delivery risks.
- Support engineering execution through data-driven decision-making, operational rigor, and continuous process improvement.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in technical program management, with a proven track record delivering complex engineering programs at scale
- Deep experience managing multi-team software programs across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Strong technical foundation with the ability to engage in system architecture, infrastructure, and technical risk discussions
- Experience leading large-scale platform, infrastructure, networking, or product engineering initiatives
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment without direct authority
- Experience building or improving program management processes, tooling, and operational frameworks
- Ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and drive clarity in fast-paced environments
- Familiarity with AI tools and technologies used to support technical decision-making and program execution
- Understanding of agentic AI models and AI-assisted workflows
- Technical understanding of wireless and networking technologies, including 4G/5G, multi-WAN load balancing, UDP/TCP, NAT traversal, and network security concepts such as mTLS
- Experience working with distributed data pipelines and cloud infrastructure technologies such as Kafka, Protobuf, AWS, and API Gateway services
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working at a software company supporting infrastructure, platform, or product engineering programs
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and distributed systems architectures
- PMP, PgMP, Agile, or Scrum certifications
- Prior experience in a software engineering or other highly technical role
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
