Job description

HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a Manufacturing Technician to support the assembly, testing, and validation of autonomous vehicles and related subassemblies.

In this role, you’ll support vehicle builds, execute defined test plans, and assist with diagnostics and troubleshooting activities across mechanical, electrical, and computer-controlled systems.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, a collaborative mindset, and the flexibility to support multiple teams and worksites as needed.

As a Manufacturing Technician, you'll:
  • Work closely with leads and fellow technicians to support vehicle assembly line builds.
  • Perform light diagnostics and troubleshooting on vehicle systems and components.
  • Execute vehicle-level testing activities involving both hardware and software systems.
  • Complete daily build and testing tasks to support on-time project delivery.
  • Provide feedback to engineering and production teams to support future product and process improvements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across manufacturing and engineering operations.
  • Follow all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and safety within manufacturing processes.
  • Travel to local worksites as needed to support operations.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience working as a technician or within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of basic electrical theory
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and harness drawings
  • Familiarity with CAN/LIN network systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to travel to local worksites as needed
  • This role will require safety boots that conform to ASTM F2412 / F2413 requirements

Bonus Qualifications:
  • Automotive or OEM manufacturing experience
  • A bachelor’s degree or certificate in automotive technology
  • Experience working with prototype or pre-production vehicle builds
