HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a Manufacturing Technician to support the assembly, diagnostics, and testing of autonomous vehicles and related subassemblies.

In this role, you’ll contribute to the build and bring-up of pre-production vehicles, supporting diagnostics, testing, and troubleshooting activities across electrical and mechanical systems. Your hands-on feedback from build and validation activities will directly support engineering teams in refining vehicle systems and advancing production readiness.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, hands-on technician with strong troubleshooting skills and experience working in fast-paced manufacturing or prototype environments.

As a Manufacturing Technician, you'll:
  • Work closely with engineers and technicians to build, diagnose, and test vehicles and subassemblies.
  • Support vehicle bring-up activities, including debugging and troubleshooting electrical systems and circuits.
  • Complete daily build and test tasks to support project timelines and milestones.
  • Provide detailed feedback to engineering teams to support future system and process improvements.
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient build environment.
  • Follow all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and safety across manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of experience working as a technician in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • This role will require safety boots that conform to ASTM F2412 / F2413 requirements

Bonus Qualifications:
  • Automotive or OEM experience, particularly in end-of-line (EOL) diagnostics, testing, or repair
  • Experience supporting prototype or pre-production vehicle builds

Benefits:
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Employer (HireArt) subsidized healthcare benefits (eligibility begins on the first of the month following 60 days of service)
  • Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs
  • HireArt covers all costs for short- and long-term disability and life insurance
  • 401k package

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be onsite and available to candidates who are local to the Foster City, CA area.

HireArt values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. Unfortunately, we are not able to sponsor visas or employ corp-to-corp.
