As a Test Engineering Technician, you'll:
  • Test prototype assemblies with support from Engineering and R&D teams.

  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure products are optimized for manufacturing and validation.
  • Perform functional testing of components and assemblies, including final system validation.
  • Conduct failure analysis and repair of assemblies, and generate detailed FA reports.
  • Create and review test instructions, contributing to ongoing refinement and improvements.
  • Troubleshoot engineering prototype units and resolve test-related issues.
  • Maintain calibration of test equipment and lab tools.
  • Support the development of automated test fixtures and related software/firmware.
  • Perform testing and calibration of sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
  • Follow engineering drawings, written procedures, and verbal instructions to complete work accurately.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, mechanical technology, or a related field
  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and engineering drawings
  • Experience assembling and repairing wiring harnesses
  • Familiarity with standard electrical engineering lab equipment (e.g., digital multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes)

Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience reworking PCBAs
  • Experience with environmental testing (e.g., shock, vibration, thermal, IP)
  • EMC testing experience
  • Experience testing automotive ECUs
  • Familiarity with Linux command line

Benefits:
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Employer (HireArt) subsidized healthcare benefits (eligibility begins on the first of the month following 60 days of service)
  • Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs
  • HireArt covers all costs for short- and long-term disability and life insurance
  • 401k package

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be onsite and available to candidates who are local to the Foster City, CA area.
