In this role, you’ll analyze operational data, develop dashboards and metrics, and deliver actionable insights that improve fleet capacity, efficiency, and overall performance. You’ll play a key role in fostering a culture of analytical rigor across operations.

The ideal candidate is a strong analytical problem-solver with experience working across data, engineering, and business teams to translate complex data into meaningful insights.

As a Fleet Operations Business Intelligence Engineer, you'll:
  • Use SQL and Python to extract, clean, and process large datasets, transforming raw data into meaningful business metrics.
  • Analyze fleet performance and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Looker, Databricks, Tableau) to track KPIs and operational metrics.
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Partner with Fleet Operations teams to identify performance gaps and drive improvements using data-driven analysis.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to answer key business questions and evaluate potential operational changes.
  • Identify patterns in ad hoc requests and recommend scalable business or data solutions.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, product, and technical teams to improve data availability, pipelines, and reporting infrastructure.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in data science, business analytics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data warehousing concepts (data extraction, transformation, modeling)
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or similar tools for data manipulation and analysis
  • Experience building dashboards using tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar
  • Experience working cross-functionally with data, product, and business teams
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and operational improvement
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights

Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience with machine learning or predictive analytics
  • Experience with workforce planning, labor optimization, or cost analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

Benefits:
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Employer (HireArt) subsidized healthcare benefits (eligibility begins on the first of the month following 60 days of service)
  • Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs
  • HireArt covers all costs for short- and long-term disability and life insurance
  • 401k package

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. The role is hybrid, requiring at least three days per week onsite, and is available to candidates local to the Foster City, CA area.

HireArt values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. Unfortunately, we are not able to sponsor visas or employ corp-to-corp.
