HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire an AHE Buyer to support prototype and low-volume hardware procurement.
In this role, you’ll partner closely with engineering and supply chain teams to source and deliver quick-turn PCBAs, box builds, and prototype modules. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring timely builds by managing supplier engagement, resolving shortages, and driving clear-to-build readiness.
The ideal candidate is a technically savvy problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments, collaborates effectively across teams, and takes ownership of complex procurement and build challenges.
As an AHE Buyer, you'll:
As an AHE Buyer, you'll:
- Partner with AHE and cross-functional teams to understand requirements for quick-turn and prototype PCBAs and modules.
- Conduct RFQs with rapid-turn suppliers, supporting DFM discussions and supplier selection.
- Drive execution of box builds, PCBAs, and prototype modules from sourcing through delivery.
- Manage clear-to-build readiness and proactively resolve component shortages.
- Act as the first point of escalation for commercial and operational issues.
- Own cost tracking for in-scope builds, ensuring budgets are aligned and properly managed.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in hardware engineering, sourcing, or manufacturing environments
- Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced production or prototype settings
- Hands-on experience supporting or leading clear-to-build processes outside of automated ERP systems
- Technical understanding of PCBAs and surface mount technology (SMT)
