Job description
HireArt is helping our client find a Wire Harness Technician to support the manufacturing of prototype wire harnesses and electrical assemblies.
In this role, you’ll build and rework wiring harnesses for vehicles and test assets, supporting both development and production efforts. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide feedback on designs, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with wire harness manufacturing, strong troubleshooting skills, and a solid understanding of electrical systems and diagnostic tools.
As a Wire Harness Technician, you'll:
In this role, you’ll build and rework wiring harnesses for vehicles and test assets, supporting both development and production efforts. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide feedback on designs, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with wire harness manufacturing, strong troubleshooting skills, and a solid understanding of electrical systems and diagnostic tools.
As a Wire Harness Technician, you'll:
- Manufacture and rework small and large wiring harnesses.
- Build complex electrical assemblies with minimal instruction.
- Perform wiring rework on vehicles and test assets.
- Assist with root cause analysis and repair of components from field returns or testing.
- Provide feedback to engineering on new designs and assemblies.
- Manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Maintain an organized workspace and ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience or an associate’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, wire lists, and formboards
- Experience with diagnostic tools, including DVOMs, power supplies, and oscilloscopes
- Experience with SMT/PTH soldering
- IPC-620 certification or wire harness manufacturing experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable using specialized hand and power tools
Bonus Qualifications:
- ASE certifications
- EPA 609 certification
- Basic experience with SolidWorks or CATIA
- Automotive high-voltage experience or training
- Fabrication experience
