The ideal candidate is organized, process-driven, and detail-oriented, with strong collaboration skills and the ability to manage releases in a fast-paced environment.

As a Release Coordinator, you'll:
  • Partner with release managers to define and deliver weekly map updates, ensuring all changes meet submission deadlines and quality standards.
  • Triage and coordinate map-related issues identified during vehicle testing or integration, driving timely resolution with engineering and mapping teams.
  • Develop and deploy urgent data patches to resolve critical safety risks or operational blockers outside standard release cycles.
  • Collaborate with software engineering, safety, and vehicle testing teams to ensure map data compatibility with the latest autonomous driving systems.
  • Create and review reports comparing map versions, clearly communicating changes and potential impacts to stakeholders.
  • Perform smoke testing on new software builds and feature updates to ensure stability and prevent workflow disruptions.
  • Track, categorize, and manage bugs using tools like Jira, working closely with developers to resolve critical issues prior to deployment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Experience working within structured release cycles and managing strict deadlines
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, including working with spatial or map-based data
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve high-priority technical issues quickly
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience with QA methodologies, particularly for map or spatial datasets
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and release tools such as Jira or GitHub
  • Interest in autonomous vehicle technology or geospatial systems

Benefits:
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Employer (HireArt) Subsidized healthcare benefits (eligibility begins on the first of the month following 60 days of service)
  • Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs
  • HireArt covers all costs for short and long-term disability and life insurance
  • 401k package

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be hybrid (requiring at least three days per week onsite) and available to candidates who are local to the Foster City, CA area.
