HireArt is helping our client find Senior Strategic Sourcing Managers (IT Software & Services) to build and scale foundational sourcing strategies across IT software, services, and related technology categories.
In this role, you’ll act as a strategic partner to IT and cross-functional stakeholders, driving sourcing initiatives that support operational scale and long-term business growth. You’ll play a key role in shaping procurement strategies, optimizing supplier relationships, and enabling efficient, cost-effective technology investments.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who enjoys owning initiatives end-to-end, diving into technical and business requirements, and partnering closely with stakeholders to solve complex sourcing challenges.
As a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, you'll:
As a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, you'll:
- Lead sourcing initiatives across IT software, services, and related technology categories, including CRM, ERP, and SaaS platforms.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and develop sourcing strategies that support operational scale and efficiency.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, leveraging benchmarking, competitive bidding, and market analysis to drive value and innovation.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to optimize total cost of ownership and mitigate risk.
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships to support long-term business objectives.
- Guide stakeholders on supplier selection, contract strategy, and category best practices.
- Ensure a seamless source-to-pay process by collaborating with finance and internal teams throughout the procurement lifecycle.
- Support process improvements and sourcing strategies that enable scalability and operational excellence.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, indirect category management, or supply chain
- 4+ years of experience sourcing within technology categories (software, hardware, services, and related agreements)
- Strong experience with sourcing strategy, financial analysis, and business case development
- Proven contract negotiation experience, including reviewing redlines and resolving commercial and legal risks
- Strong understanding of technology sourcing, including SaaS, enterprise systems, and associated licensing models
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders
- Self-starter with a strategic mindset and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
Bonus Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or MBA in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, engineering, computer science)
- Experience in autonomous vehicles, high-tech, or safety-critical environments
- Experience working in new product introduction (NPI) environments or alongside PMO/engineering teams
