HireArt is helping our client find a Technical Program Manager to lead and shape complex, high-impact engineering programs across the organization.
In this role, you’ll operate with a high degree of autonomy, driving strategic initiatives that span multiple teams, systems, and business areas. You will partner closely with senior engineering and product leaders to ensure programs are executed effectively, risks are managed proactively, and outcomes align with broader organizational goals.
The ideal candidate is a highly technical and strategic program leader with strong organizational influence, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex programs at scale.
As a Technical Program Manager, you'll:
As a Technical Program Manager, you'll:
- Lead end-to-end program management for large-scale, multi-team engineering initiatives from strategy through execution and delivery.
- Partner with senior engineering and product leadership to influence roadmaps, prioritization, and resourcing decisions.
- Define and evolve program management frameworks, processes, and best practices across the organization.
- Drive alignment across complex dependencies involving multiple teams, external partners, and competing priorities.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, trade-offs, and escalations at both program and portfolio levels.
- Communicate effectively with executive stakeholders, translating technical complexity into clear business impact.
- Mentor and support junior TPMs, contributing to the growth of a high-performing program management function.
- Participate in technical scoping and architectural discussions, providing input on feasibility, sequencing, and delivery risks.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in technical program management, with a track record of delivering complex, cross-functional engineering programs
- Experience managing multi-team software programs across the full software development lifecycle, including platform, infrastructure, or product initiatives
- Strong technical foundation with the ability to engage in system design discussions and evaluate technical tradeoffs
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority
- Experience building or improving program management processes, tools, and operating models
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, drive clarity, and make sound decisions in fast-paced environments
- Familiarity with AI tools and their application in technical decision-making or program execution
- Understanding of modern AI systems, including agentic models and AI-driven workflows
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience working in software, platform, or infrastructure-focused organizations
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and distributed systems concepts
- PMP, PgMP, or Agile/Scrum certifications
- Background in software engineering or another technical discipline
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
