HireArt is helping our client find a Validation Technician - Serviceability to support rework validations, labor time development, and service procedure validation for Zoox vehicles.
In this role, you’ll partner closely with the lead validation technician to execute rework validation activities identified by engineering. You will evaluate, validate, and time-study service procedures to ensure safe, efficient execution while improving overall serviceability and maintainability.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to translate validation learnings into clear, actionable procedures.

As a Validation Technician - Serviceability, you'll:
- Support the Lead Validation Technician in executing rework validations, service procedure validations, and time studies.
- Develop detailed service instructions based on engineering processes and insights gained from validation activities.
- Partner with the documentation team to create and refine service procedures, service bulletins, and rework documentation.
- Represent base operations in RRB forums, providing updates on ongoing validation and rework activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve rework processes and documentation workflows.
- Collaborate with documentation and quality teams to implement process improvements.
- Ensure rework readiness prior to release to Base Operations repair teams.
- Conduct time studies for mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic service procedures.
- Support tooling validation activities in partnership with the tooling team.
- Maintain and update standard labor repair time guides.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in automotive technology or a related technical field
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in validation, testing, or service operations
- Strong collaboration skills with experience working alongside technicians and engineers
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and connector pinouts
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and test equipment
- Experience tracking issues and test results using tools such as Jira
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently while following direction
