Job description

HireArt is helping our client find an Operations Specialist to support making sure vehicle calibrations are up-to-date and statuses are reported across multiple teams.

In this role, you'll ensure fleet vehicles are primed and ready for daily use by deploying software and troubleshooting both new and existing issues. You'll also assist with the deployment of software to fleet vehicles and conduct pre-mission checklists at the beginning of each day, as well as throughout the day, as the operations schedule dictates.

As an Operations Specialist, you'll:
  • Assist with the deployment of software to fleet vehicles and conduct pre-mission checklists at the beginning of each day as well as throughout the day, as the operations schedule dictates.
  • Work across various teams to determine the calibration status on all fleet vehicles.
  • Manually drive test fleet vehicles to collect data after upgrades or repairs are performed.
  • Process collected data and utilize tooling which consists of a terminal, GUI, and version control software to marshal the processing of sensor calibrations.
  • Conduct on-vehicle and offline validation.
  • Clear and concise communication to the necessary teams and channels on the status of each calibration.
  • Collaborate with the company's technical and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and communicate solutions.
  • Ensure the vehicles, equipment, and the workplace are clean and ready for use.
  • Provide logistical support to the movement and storage of vehicles and equipment.
  • Assist with paperwork and documentation related to vehicle readiness.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) check, and drug screening
  • Compliance with the company’s substance abuse policy
  • Clean driving record with no points
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Interest in fleet operations and autonomous vehicle technology
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and use carts, dollies, hand trucks, or similar equipment to move materials
  • Ability to climb stairs and perform physical tasks during shifts, including standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, and reaching

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience using Git
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
  • Proficiency in MS Office/Google Suite, especially Excel or Sheets
