Job description
HireArt is helping our client find a Test Technician, EE Systems, to support the build and bring-up of test fixtures for compute hardware. This role focuses on ensuring test systems are built accurately and operate with high reliability and fidelity.
In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally with test engineers to build and validate test platforms used to verify the performance and reliability of electrical systems installed on fleet vehicles.
The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced with electrical subsystems. You are comfortable working hands-on with hardware and eager to learn and take on new technical challenges.
As a Test Technician, EE Systems, you'll:
As a Test Technician, EE Systems, you'll:
- Assist in the design and development of automated test fixtures and related testing software.
- Build test assemblies and perform system validation activities.
- Perform failure analysis and generate troubleshooting documentation.
- Create and review test instructions and contribute to continuous improvement of testing procedures.
- Maintain test equipment, including calibration and lab tools.
- Follow written and verbal instructions to complete technical work assignments accurately.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in electrical/electronics technology or equivalent experience
- 6-8 years of experience in electromechanical assembly and testing
- Experience reading electrical schematics and engineering drawings
- Proficiency with Google Workspace tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience assembling and repairing wiring harnesses
- Experience using EE lab equipment such as digital multimeters and power supplies
- Familiarity with the Linux command line
- Experience with hardware testing and validation
- Experience working with rapid prototyping environments
Bonus Qualifications:
- Advanced Linux command line experience
- Scripting experience, particularly troubleshooting Python scripts
