Job description
HireArt is helping our client find a Quality Technician to support the manufacturing engineering team while working cross-functionally with vehicle engineering, corporate quality, and supplier quality teams.
In this role, you’ll leverage your technical background to investigate vehicle issues, perform root cause analysis, document findings, and communicate critical insights to cross-functional partners.
The ideal candidate is technically curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across teams to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
As a Quality Technician, you'll:
As a Quality Technician, you'll:
- Read technical drawings and CAD models to understand part design and intended assembly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform root cause analysis and identify corrective actions.
- Develop and document troubleshooting techniques to support ongoing quality improvements.
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to identify trends and communicate quality concerns.
- Create, maintain, and update quality documentation and procedures.
- Develop training materials related to inspections, quality standards, and quality alerts.
- Travel to the Fremont worksite as needed.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree with 4-6 years of experience as a quality technician or High School diploma/GED with 6-8 years of relevant quality technician experience
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret CAD models
- Broad technical background in mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting complex issues
- Familiarity with PFMEA and control plans
Bonus Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering
- 3+ years of technician experience in automotive manufacturing
- Experience designing or building test equipment
