Job description

HireArt is helping our client find a Fleet Readiness Specialist to support daily fleet operations and ensure vehicles are prepared for safe and efficient testing.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining vehicle and site readiness, including cleaning, fueling, basic technical support, and mission preparation. You’ll help ensure vehicles meet operational and regulatory requirements while supporting the vehicle operations team across assigned locations.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

As a Fleet Readiness Specialist, you'll:
  • Support company milestones by optimizing daily drive operations across assigned locations.
  • Ensure vehicles, equipment, and workspaces are clean, organized, and operationally ready.
  • Provide logistical support for the movement, storage, and staging of vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform routine fueling and basic upkeep of test vehicles and support equipment.
  • Execute mission preparation procedures, including launching software, verifying hardware and software configurations, capturing requested data, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Assist with vehicle intake, software deployment, calibrations, validations, and data quality checks.
  • Provide general testing support, including documentation, pre-mission setup, cone course and obstacle support, traffic control, and support vehicle driving.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork and documentation related to vehicle readiness and operations.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Must pass a background check, MVR check, and drug screen
  • Must comply with the Substance Abuse Policy
  • Proven ability to problem-solve and perform under pressure
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team-oriented with a proactive, “get it done” mindset
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and use carts, dollies, and similar equipment
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, push, pull, and climb stairs during shifts

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office, or Google Workspace
  • Experience working in a fast-paced operational or testing environment
