Job description
HireArt is helping our client find a Mission Readiness Trainer - Service to teach, demonstrate, and assess day-to-day tasks for both new and established learners on the Mission Readiness Service team.
In this role, you’ll partner with operators, training supervisors, project managers, and functional leaders to ensure consistent execution of standardized operating procedures (SOPs). While occasional operator coverage may be required, this role primarily focuses on training and assessment rather than ongoing service or R&D mission work.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Mission Readiness professional with strong coaching skills, operational expertise, and a passion for developing others.
As a Mission Readiness Trainer - Service, you'll:
As a Mission Readiness Trainer - Service, you'll:
- Deliver structured training through classroom facilitation, live demonstrations, hands-on practice, and real-time coaching.
- Review daily performance feedback and address training gaps identified by on-the-job mentors.
- Evaluate and grade hands-on assessments (field and simulation-based), providing clear feedback to supervisors and stakeholders.
- Conduct formal performance audits for both new and experienced operators.
- Collaborate with training supervisors to refine curriculum, clarify procedures, and update training materials as needed.
- Provide operator coverage for service or R&D missions when team members are pulled for training sessions.
- Maintain operational proficiency by fulfilling a minimum of 8 hours per month in service or R&D activities.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 months as a fully trained Mission Readiness team member
- 1-3 years of experience in the autonomous vehicle (AV) space
- Strong knowledge of Mission Readiness procedures and responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and drive operational improvements
- Experience working in highly collaborative, cross-functional environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Flexible schedule to accommodate training events
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for training support
- Valid driver’s license
- Must pass a background check, MVR check, and drug screen
- Must comply with the Substance Abuse Policy
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency with Google Workspace tools (Slides, Sheets, Docs, Forms)
- Experience facilitating classroom instruction and/or delivering on-the-job training
