Job description
HireArt is helping our client find an Engineering Technician to support the development of electronic hardware for automotive applications.
In this role, you’ll provide rapid prototyping support and low-volume hardware assembly to enable fast design iterations during product development. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, with performance measured against quality and schedule expectations.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and able to work independently on routine tasks while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

As an Engineering Technician, you'll:
- Support engineers during new product development to optimize manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Assist in developing alternative assembly techniques and troubleshooting solutions.
- Accurately assemble and test electronic hardware ranging from engineering prototypes to short-run production builds.
- Perform quality inspections as a delegated quality reviewer within the engineering lab.
- Execute final product testing according to written procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with engineering and development teams.
- Consistently demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 4-6 years of experience in electromechanical assembly, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and engineering drawings
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and general computer skills for data entry and documentation
- Experience using standard assembly tools, including cutters, crimpers, soldering irons, pin insertion/removal tools, and torque tools
- Hands-on lab experience with soldering, power supplies, signal generators, and oscilloscopes
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Experience working with product development teams in low-volume manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with IPC-610, IPC-620, or J-STD-001 standards
- Technical training, trade school education, or relevant on-the-job training is preferred
