Job description

HireArt is helping our client find Ground Operations Schedulers (Mission Readiness & Fleet Response) to support a centralized workforce management (WFM) function designed to stabilize and optimize 24/7 operations across Mission Readiness (MR) and Fleet Response (FR).

In this role, you will serve as the architect of a scheduling transformation initiative, centralizing roster management and triaging ad hoc requests to eliminate manual workload for operational leads. You’ll ensure staffing efficiency targets are met while supporting a growing network of depots, resorts, and remote staging locations.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-accountability environments where precision directly impacts operational uptime and safety.

As a Ground Operations Scheduler, you'll:
Shift Design & Coverage Optimization
  • Design and implement optimized shift structures (e.g., 4x10 schedules) to eliminate coverage gaps and support 24/7 service continuity.
  • Manage staffing ratios to meet efficiency targets while maintaining safe operational coverage.
  • Apply complex scheduling logic, including breaker allocations (33%) and a 15% attrition buffer to prevent under- or over-staffing.
  • Allocate personnel across multiple geographic sites based on real-time vehicle forecasts.
Ad-Hoc & Special Event Coordination
  • Serve as the centralized intake point for off-nominal requests (R&D testing, special events, rovers).
  • Track labor allocation between core service and ad-hoc activities to ensure visibility and accountability.
  • Coordinate training sessions and Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) without compromising active service coverage.
Workforce Analytics & Policy Enforcement
  • Enforce the 10% threshold model to manage Out-of-Office (OOO) capacity limits.
  • Oversee shift changes, attendance tracking, and OOO approvals (7-day lead requirement).
  • Monitor attrition trends and proactively flag hiring needs when safety thresholds are at risk.
Data & Reporting
  • Provide weekly utilization reports, including overtime tracking and labor distribution.
  • Build and maintain dashboards such as OOO tracking and ad hoc utilization metrics to support operational planning and efficiency scoring.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in workforce management, complex scheduling, or operations coordination
  • Experience calculating labor ratios, attrition buffers, and allocation logic in dynamic environments
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Slack-based intake systems, and automated scheduling dashboards
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance operational and financial priorities

Benefits:
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Employer (HireArt) Subsidized healthcare benefits (eligibility begins on the first of the month following 60 days of service)
  • Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs
  • HireArt covers all costs for short and long-term disability and life insurance
  • 401k package

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. The role is onsite and available to candidates local to the Las Vegas, NV area.

HireArt values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. Unfortunately, we are not able to sponsor visas or employ corp-to-corp.
