Job description

HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a Fleet Support Specialist to support scheduling, metrics, documentation, and dashboard updates of its vehicle fleet.

In this role, you will assist in tracking current and historical fleet health and maintain constant situational awareness of fleet status. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth handoff of hardware and software from development to operations.

We're looking for someone with 1-2 years of experience working in a fast-paced service environment. Ideally, you are familiar with automotive repair processes and fundamentals.

As a Fleet Support Specialist, you'll:

Fleet Health & Scheduling
  • Coordinate repair scheduling and optimize vehicle turnaround time.
  • Review open issues, monitor fleet health, and generate action plans.
  • Maintain accurate historical records of vehicle status, repairs, and trends.
  • Submit vehicle move requests and coordinate B2 service work with MR teams.
Maintenance & Parts Coordination
  • Order and track parts for scheduled and unscheduled repairs.
  • Manage SAP MOs, LOGX and SERVO tickets, BOM updates, and VQ ticket creation.
  • Support work order creation, maintenance tracking, and parts traceability in internal systems.
  • Perform quality inspections on repairs to ensure compliance with standards.
Safety & Incident Response
  • Support incident on-call rotations, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Make rapid, informed decisions during field or vehicle safety events.
  • Gather data, conduct interviews, and collect evidence for incidents and near-misses.
  • Partner with training teams to support safety-related training programs.
  • Conduct monthly shop safety inspections and report results to the EHS team.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and operational discipline.
Operations & Documentation
  • Assist in creating and updating technical documentation and processes.
  • Support daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on fleet performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align workflows and resolve operational bottlenecks.
  • Maintain situational awareness of fleet status by working closely with technicians, engineers, and operations teams.
  • Manage calibration workflows and track progress through internal channels.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a rapid-paced service environment
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Willingness to comply with the company’s Substance Abuse Policy
  • Familiarity with automotive repair processes and fundamentals
  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 50%)
  • Strong collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to work in dynamic environments where ambiguity is viewed as opportunity
  • Strong emotional intelligence and empathetic communication style that fosters trust and collaboration

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Hands-on experience creating and managing tickets, work orders, or maintenance records in systems such as Jira, SAP, or similar operational tools
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Prior experience in an automotive or fleet service environment
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and deliverables
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to respond quickly across multiple communication channels
  • Experience as a first responder or in emergency/safety operations, including vehicle incident response
  • Familiarity with high-voltage systems, lithium-ion batteries, NFPA 70E, or related safety standards
  • Experience in transportation safety, AV safety, or aviation safety
  • Familiarity with AVSC Best Practices or ISO 39000-series safety standards
