Job description

HireArt is partnering with an AI innovation initiative seeking Screenshot Annotation Specialists for a project focused on annotating professional desktop screenshots and writing clear, highly detailed descriptions of on-screen activity.

This role requires strong attention to detail and technical or operational writing skills. The work is factual and structured and is ideal for candidates with prior annotation or data-labeling experience.

What You’ll Do
  • Annotate desktop screenshots by drawing bounding boxes around application windows and system UI elements.
  • Apply structured labels and attributes to annotated elements.
  • Write clear, detailed descriptions explaining what is visible on screen and how elements relate to each other.
  • Document active states, user-entered content, system indicators, and overlapping windows.
  • Perform light research to accurately identify unfamiliar applications or icons.
  • Follow strict quality and language guidelines.

Requirements

  • Prior experience with image annotation or labeling tasks
  • Strong technical or practical writing skills
  • High attention to detail and consistency with the ability to follow detailed guidelines
  • Reliable internet access
  • Native English proficiency

Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience with UI, software, or desktop screenshot annotation
  • Background in QA, data labeling, or technical documentation

Commitment: This is an independent contract position staffed via HireArt. The role is remote and open to U.S.-based candidates (excluding California and Illinois) who can commit to 10-20 hours per week.
