Job description

HireArt is helping our client find an IT Support Specialist to join its team.

In this role, you’ll serve as the front-line technical support resource for employees, contractors, and visitors. You’ll manage day-to-day user support, device setup, account provisioning, and on-site IT coordination. The role emphasizes user experience and systems readiness, with occasional support for hardware installation projects alongside the field technician.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, and enjoys solving technical problems in a people-facing environment. You’re comfortable juggling multiple requests, documenting solutions, and maintaining a secure, well-run IT operation.

As an IT Support Specialist, you'll:
  • Prepare and configure laptops and mobile devices for new employees.
  • Issue and manage employee badges and physical access permissions.
  • Provide front-desk IT assistance and on-site support for employees and guests.
  • Troubleshoot user issues and escalate complex technical problems when needed.
  • Manage device lifecycle tasks: procurement, repairs, inventory, and vendor coordination.
  • Support conference room technology, hybrid meetings, and event setups.
  • Maintain IT documentation and internal knowledge base articles.
  • Occasionally assist with basic cabling, camera, or equipment installation projects.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in an IT support or helpdesk role in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365 administration
  • Familiarity with MDM platforms (Intune, JAMF, Kandji, or similar)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong organizational habits
  • Security-first approach to managing user accounts and devices
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Benefits:
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Employer (HireArt) subsidized Healthcare Benefits
  • Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs
  • HireArt covers all costs for short- and long-term disability and life insurance
  • 401k package

Commitment: This is a full-time, 1-year contract position (with the possibility of extension) staffed via HireArt. It will be onsite and available to candidates local to the Austin, TX area.

HireArt values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. Unfortunately, we are not able to sponsor visas.
