Job description
HireArt is helping our client find a Japanese Language Instructor to support its vehicle build team. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver one-on-one and group Japanese language instruction to company employees based in the U.S. and U.K.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Dojo Language Program team in Tokyo, Japan, to coordinate lesson schedules, teach classes, and provide ongoing feedback to students.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Japanese language instructor who is comfortable teaching adult learners in both professional and casual settings and enjoys collaborating with a global, cross-functional team.
Most students in the program are true beginners, typically starting from zero or at a standard CEFR A1 level. The program currently uses standard textbooks such as Japanese for Busy People and Marugoto.

- Organize and manage student sign-up and lesson scheduling.
- Teach one-on-one and group Japanese language lessons.
- Provide structured feedback to students after each lesson.
- Assess and track student progress over time.
- Support additional tasks as assigned by the Dojo Language Program team.
Requirements
- Native Japanese speaker
- Experience teaching Japanese to adults in both business and casual contexts
- Japanese language teaching certification or equivalent practical experience
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to share perspectives and respect differing viewpoints
- Conversational English proficiency
Commitment: This is a 12-month, part-time contract position staffed via HireArt. This position is remote and available to U.S.-based candidates able to work PST hours.
