HireArt is helping our client find a Payroll Analyst to support accurate, compliant payroll operations and contribute to ongoing process and system improvements.
In this role, you’ll assist with payroll processing across multiple pay groups, resolve tax and compliance issues, and serve as a Workday Payroll subject-matter expert. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, support month-end and year-end activities, and help drive efficiency across payroll workflows.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in multi-state payroll, strong analytical skills, and a track record of delivering accurate work in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
As a Payroll Analyst, you will:
In this role, you’ll assist with payroll processing across multiple pay groups, resolve tax and compliance issues, and serve as a Workday Payroll subject-matter expert. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, support month-end and year-end activities, and help drive efficiency across payroll workflows.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in multi-state payroll, strong analytical skills, and a track record of delivering accurate work in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
As a Payroll Analyst, you will:
- Assist with month-end close activities and reconciliations across all pay groups.
- Research and resolve tax inquiries, including coordinating tax amendment processing through ADP.
- Lead year-end processes to ensure completeness, compliance, and accurate W-2 delivery for all employees.
- Serve as the payroll technical lead for Workday functional areas (Payroll and Time & Absence).
- Participate in project meetings with cross-functional teams and provide payroll insights, feasibility assessments, and recommendations.
- Review and audit semi-monthly and bi-weekly payrolls for accuracy and compliance.
- Support global payroll processing as needed.
- Contribute to special projects assigned by the Payroll Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 6-8 years of progressive experience in payroll operations and system improvements
- Strong understanding of payroll regulatory compliance and multi-state taxation
- Must have experience with the Workday Payroll system
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines
- Global payroll experience is a plus
