HireArt is helping our client find a Corporate Counsel to join its legal team at the Austin headquarters.
In this role, you’ll provide strategic legal guidance across contracts, compliance, and emerging issues in autonomy, AI, and robotics. You’ll be deeply involved in shaping policies and practices that support groundbreaking innovation, advising on product liability, data privacy, employment law, and global talent mobility for a fast-growing technology organization.

As a Corporate Counsel, you'll:
As a Corporate Counsel, you'll:
- Lead Contract Management and Negotiation:
- Design and improve contract workflows and tracking systems while drafting, reviewing, and negotiating key agreements, including NDAs, vendor and supply contracts (hardware, software, sensors), employment agreements, and intellectual property licenses related to AI and robotics.
- Advise on Emerging Legal Issues in Autonomy:
- Provide proactive legal counsel to engineering, product, and business teams on regulatory compliance, data privacy, cybersecurity, and product liability for AI-driven and autonomous systems. Conduct legal research and draft documents addressing these evolving areas.
- Support Global Talent and Immigration Programs:
- Partner with HR and leadership on immigration compliance and international mobility strategies to help attract and retain world-class engineering and technical talent.
- Guide Employment Law and Workforce Practices:
- Review and assist with employment and severance agreements, advising on labor law compliance, risk mitigation, and policy development for a growing global workforce.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active bar license in good standing
- 2-5 years of in-house or law firm experience, ideally within technology, software, hardware, or other highly regulated industries
- Proven ability to provide clear, actionable legal guidance in complex or emerging areas of law
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated interest in robotics, AI, and autonomous vehicle technology
Nice to Have:
- Experience with robotics, artificial intelligence, or automotive law
- Familiarity with global data protection and cybersecurity regulations
- Prior work on immigration or global mobility compliance
- Prior experience negotiating complex technology and IP agreements
