HireArt is helping our client hire Senior Associates, Risk Operations to join its growing team.
In this role, you’ll help scale key credit risk initiatives, such as direct deposit and income verification, by developing clear operational processes and ensuring alignment with credit policy and risk objectives. You’ll play a critical role in standing up new programs, training support teams, and driving process improvements that reduce loss and enhance efficiency across the credit domain.
The ideal candidate has experience in financial services or fintech, with a strong operational mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. In this role, you’ll help scale key credit risk initiatives, such as direct deposit and income verification, by developing clear operational processes and ensuring alignment with credit policy and risk objectives. You’ll play a critical role in standing up new programs, training support teams, and driving process improvements that reduce loss and enhance efficiency across the credit domain.

As a Senior Associate, Risk Operations, you will:
- Build and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training documentation for new and existing credit risk initiatives, ensuring alignment with credit policy and risk goals.
- Train and support the BPO team, monitor quality through performance reviews and QA checks, and provide feedback to improve accuracy and consistency.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the BPO team and resolve operational questions in partnership with risk and support stakeholders.
- Track contact rates, support tickets, and customer complaints to identify high-friction experiences and escalate insights to improve credit policies and workflows.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, compliance, and support teams to ensure the accuracy and clarity of customer-facing materials.
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce errors, and limit customer contacts.
- Conduct root cause analyses on operational issues and escalate findings for resolution.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in operations, risk operations, or a related function within financial services or fintech
- Proven ability to implement and manage operational processes with high precision
- Analytical mindset with experience tracking KPIs and using data to inform decision-making
- Strong collaboration skills with experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, or compliance teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write clearly for non-native English speakers
- Proficiency in Google Docs (creating templates, outlines, tables, and formatted SOPs/training guides)
- Proficiency in Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, basic formulas such as SUM and FILTER, and creating simple charts)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and managing multiple priorities with minimal oversight
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience in startups or other rapidly changing environments
- Familiarity with compliance, legal, or product development processes
- Understanding of credit risk principles and how operational decisions affect company loss and profitability
