HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Mechanical Design Engineer, Sensor Integration NPI to support design, release, and sustaining work for the company’s custom sensor modules used on its robotaxi platform.
In this role, you’ll own the mechanical elements of the sensor pods—building and maintaining BOMs, updating and improving designs, and supporting both new product introduction (NPI) and sustaining activities. This role involves travel within the Bay Area to support on-site builds and supplier collaboration.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and highly skilled in CAD design (Catia V5/V6 preferred), with experience in automotive-grade electromechanical systems and product launches in high-volume manufacturing environments.
