HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Materials Specialist to support inventory management, material flow, and production operations.
In this role, you’ll manage the end-to-end movement of materials, including receiving and inspection through storage, kitting, and delivery to production. You’ll ensure inventory accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and maintain efficient warehouse operations that support production and engineering teams.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supporting electronics or electromechanical manufacturing, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with MRP systems in a fast-paced, prototype or low-volume production setting.
As a Materials Specialist, you'll:
In this role, you’ll manage the end-to-end movement of materials, including receiving and inspection through storage, kitting, and delivery to production. You’ll ensure inventory accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and maintain efficient warehouse operations that support production and engineering teams.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supporting electronics or electromechanical manufacturing, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with MRP systems in a fast-paced, prototype or low-volume production setting.
As a Materials Specialist, you'll:
- Receive and inspect incoming materials, verifying documentation and resolving discrepancies with engineering and production teams.
- Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, discrepancy investigations, and regular reporting on material status.
- Pick, stage, and deliver parts to production lines and handle internal product transfers and shipments.
- Perform MRP transactions, including creating work orders, processing transfers, and shipping/receiving orders.
- Organize and maintain stock locations, docks, and warehouse areas to ensure cleanliness and efficiency.
- Coordinate return-to-vendor (RTV) or rework materials and support material planning priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 6+ years of warehouse, inventory, or material handling experience
- Experience with MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic startup environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with RMA, RTV, or procurement processes is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull over 25 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and occasional stooping, kneeling, or climbing
