Job description

HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire an experienced Technical Program Manager - Manufacturing Operations to support the execution of product changes into production.

In this role, you’ll coordinate cross-functional work across Product Engineering, Supply Chain & Logistics, Quality, and Manufacturing to move changes from proposal through readiness and cut-in. You’ll ensure clear ownership, accurate data, and on-time implementation while helping refine and stand up scalable operational processes.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in automotive manufacturing operations, a strong understanding of the product development lifecycle, and the ability to extract and connect data across tools like Jira, 3DX, and ERP systems.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will:
  • Coordinate cross-functional change activities, keeping scope, ownership, timing, and risks aligned.
  • Facilitate decision forums, gather inputs, document outcomes, and drive follow-through.
  • Maintain Jira workflows, trackers, and reports; publish concise weekly summaries.
  • Partner with Supply Chain & Logistics on BoM accuracy, on-hand/WIP/PO data, lead times, and cut-in timing.
  • Monitor validation, readiness, and quality gates, escalating blockers with clear options.
  • Support continuous improvement by standing up and simplifying change management processes.
  • Maintain visibility into change health and upcoming cut-ins through structured tracking and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience in hardware program management or manufacturing operations (change control/NPI preferred), including 3+ years in automotive
  • Proven experience establishing or improving cross-functional processes in manufacturing environments
  • Proficiency with Jira (boards, filters, and workflow hygiene) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
  • Working knowledge of 3DX BoM navigation (parts, revisions, effectivity, EBOM vs. MBOM)
  • Familiarity with supply chain fundamentals: lead times, on-hand/WIP/POs, alternates/subs, and last-time-buy concepts

Benefits:
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Employer (HireArt) subsidized healthcare benefits (Eligibility begins on the first of the month following 60 days of service)
  • Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs
  • HireArt covers all costs for short- and long-term disability and life insurance
  • 401k package

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be available to candidates who are local to the Foster City, CA area.

HireArt values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. Unfortunately, we are not able to sponsor visas or employ corp-to-corp.
