HireArt is helping our client find a contract IP Operations Lead to oversee and evolve its intellectual property operations.
In this role, you’ll manage day-to-day enforcement workflows, guide a team of IP specialists, and partner closely with Legal, Trust & Safety, and product/engineering teams to ensure efficient, compliant handling of IP-related requests across the platform. This is a hands-on role for an experienced operator who can balance compliance with operational execution.

As an IP Operations Lead, you will:
- Oversee end-to-end IP operations, including copyright, DMCA, trademark, and other IP-related requests.
- Manage and mentor a team of IP specialists to ensure consistent, compliant, and high-quality case handling.
- Act as the primary liaison between IP Ops and Legal for tactical alignment and escalation management.
- Define and optimize workflows, documentation, and communication standards for IP handling and customer correspondence.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to improve case tracking, automation, and reporting tools.
- Track performance metrics, identify process gaps, and deliver operational insights to Trust & Safety leadership.
- Monitor IP request volumes and recommend resource or process adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with Trust & Safety and support teams to maintain consistency across enforcement and messaging.
Requirements
- 5+ years in Trust & Safety, Legal Operations, or IP enforcement within tech or online content platforms
- Strong understanding of DMCA processes and intellectual property enforcement frameworks
- Proven experience managing operational programs or teams in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with legal and engineering partners
- Proficiency with case management or workflow tools (e.g., Zendesk or equivalent)
- Strong operational judgment, organizational skills, and ability to drive process improvements
- Availability to work PST hours and collaborate across time zones as needed
