In this role, you will manage the flow of funding, expenditures, and financial reporting while working closely with cross-functional leadership to support forecasting for new research projects. You’ll also take on FP&A analysis projects to build and maintain models, improve forecasting accuracy, and strengthen planning support across the business.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical aptitude, communication skills, and proven experience in highly dynamic environments. We’re looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced settings, adapts quickly to technology trends, and can confidently partner with leadership as a trusted financial advisor.

As an FP&A Analyst, you’ll:
  • Partner with cost center leads to track and manage OpEx and CapEx forecasting.
  • Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of financial data used in analyses.
  • Analyze spending behavior and provide insights to properly forecast future trends.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to project managers with data-driven recommendations.
  • Produce monthly financial management reports for budget owners.
  • Support the closing process by providing accrual estimates as needed.
  • Partner with operations and legal teams to support contract reviews.
  • Enforce budgetary controls to ensure fiscal discipline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a highly dynamic environment
  • Advanced Workday Planning (Adaptive) skills to analyze data and build financial and operational models
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills
  • Understanding of forecasting implications under US-GAAP rules

Benefits:
  • PTO and paid holidays!
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Employer (HireArt) Subsidized healthcare benefits
  • Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs
  • HireArt covers all costs for short- and long-term disability and life insurance
  • 401k package

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt and available to candidates local to the Cambridge, MA area. This position is hybrid, requiring two days per week onsite, with Wednesday and Tuesday or Monday as the standard onsite days. Wednesday is the critical day to be in office.

HireArt values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. Unfortunately, we are not able to sponsor visas or employ corp-to-corp.
