Job description
HireArt is helping our client hire an Autonomous Vehicle Operator - Data Collection to maintain vehicle readiness, perform hardware/software tests, and bring a customer service approach to public interactions.
In this role, you will play a critical part in advancing the company's technology with your "safety first" mindset while collecting crucial data.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating and testing autonomous vehicles, a “safety first” mindset, and proven problem-solving abilities. You are comfortable using the Linux Command Line, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and have completed some level of T1/T2 or Bertha training or certification to support advanced testing operations.
Available Schedule Options:

Available Schedule Options:
- Option A: Sat (8h), Sun (8h), and up to 4h on scheduled weekdays (Mon–Fri)
- Option B: Sat (8h), Sun (8h), and up to 6h on scheduled weekdays (Mon–Fri)
- Option C: Mon–Sun (8h per day, scheduled days)
As an Autonomous Vehicle Operator - Data Collection, you'll:
- Support vehicle operations and drive 4–8 hours daily.
- Perform basic software operations to support mission requirements and real-time data collection.
- Ensure vehicle roadworthiness and cleanliness are maintained.
- Assist with logistical support for vehicle maintenance, movement, and storage.
- Provide written and verbal feedback to the engineering team.
- Accurately document observations, issues, and anomalies encountered during test runs.
Requirements
- 1+ years of AVO experience and 3+ years of driving history
- Previous ADAS/autonomous vehicle testing experience
- T1/T2 and Bertha training or certification
- Ability to drive for extended periods
- May not have any of the following:
- Moving violations within the past year
- Criminal record
- Some experience with the Linux Command Line
- High level of critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Commitment:This is a full-time, 1-year contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be open to candidates local to the Stuttgart, Germany area.
