Schedule:
Set your own schedule, work any time of day, ideally 8 hours per week or more.

About This Role:
HireArt is helping an established AI company pioneering new approaches to data development find Cardiothoracic Surgery Subject Matter Experts.

In this role, you’ll support a research department by developing difficult, domain-specific questions that probe and illuminate the limitations of modern AI models. You'll also perform peer reviews of questions developed by others.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge approaches to data development!

Please note: This position is project-based, and task availability will depend on business needs. Hours and workload may vary depending on project timelines and priorities.

Requirements

Pay Structure:
  • Pay will be per task and dependent on the project to which you're assigned
  • You'll be paid for each question you submit that passes peer review and for each question you peer review
Requirements:
  • Graduate Degree Holder in Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Minimally Invasive Technique, Heart Valve Repair, Aortic Surgery, Lung Cancer Surgery, or other relevant discipline
  • At minimum, must be in the second year of residency (i.e., postgraduate year 2 - PGY2)
  • An academic or professional focus in Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Recent experience in the field as a
    • Professor/Lecturer/Instructor
    • Graduate Assistant
    • Undergraduate or graduate level teaching assistant
    • Researcher
    • Editorial board member
    • Consultant, adviser, or professional in the field
  • Strong English grammar, writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • The ability to write clear, thorough yet succinct summaries
  • Attention to detail in reviewing and editing written materials
  • Ability to work asynchronously on tasks and occasionally meet live to discuss the tasks
  • A reliable computer and internet connection
  • A signed NDA and completed background check are required
  • Previous experience in Test Item Writing, Exam Development, Exam Scoring, or AI is a huge plus

Commitment: This is an ongoing independent contractor position staffed via HireArt. This role will be remote and is available for U.S.-based candidates, excluding California, Illinois, and Texas, who are able to work at least 8 hours per week. Workers will be able to set their own schedule.
