Job description
HireArt is helping our client find Research Associates to help collect and enter data on new and existing startups. In this role, you will read and process volumes of data, pick out relevant information, and enter key data points into the company's proprietary software. You will also monitor live user feedback on data quality and address them promptly.

- Review press releases, blogs, company filings, industry reports, web databases, and regulatory filings.
- Log relevant start-up activity in the company’s proprietary software.
- Conduct data collection tasks within a specific dataset (e.g., PE, VC, and M&A deals).
- Maintain daily and weekly performance metrics and help identify areas for improvement across all processes and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Keen interest in and understanding of finance and capital markets, startups, technology, etc.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills, with English language skills of B2 or higher
- Ability to quickly grasp and apply methodology and processes consistently
- Strong reasoning and problem-solving abilities, as well as meticulous attention to detail
Preferred qualifications:
- Exposure to secondary market research, consultancy, and/or startup experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, commerce, economics, finance, or management
Commitment: This is a 6-month remote independent contractor position staffed via HireArt. Candidates will be able to choose their own schedules (up to 40 hours per week and during EST working hours). Preference will be given to candidates who can work 20+ hour per week.
