Job description
HireArt is helping our client find a reliable and flexible Field Data Collection Driver for a short-term project in the Saskatoon/Regina area.
In this role, you’ll be driving throughout the region to collect road sign data that helps improve the company's navigation technology.
The ideal candidate is comfortable driving long hours on the road, can follow GPS-based routes accurately, and is able to install a small device on the inside of their windshield.
As a Field Data Collection Driver, you will:
In this role, you’ll be driving throughout the region to collect road sign data that helps improve the company's navigation technology.
The ideal candidate is comfortable driving long hours on the road, can follow GPS-based routes accurately, and is able to install a small device on the inside of their windshield.
As a Field Data Collection Driver, you will:
- Drive throughout Saskatoon/Regina for up to 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, with breaks.
- Operate your vehicle safely and comply with all Saskatchewan traffic laws.
- Follow designated routes using GPS navigation.
- Install and maintain a windshield-mounted device (similar to a dash cam).
- Keep the windshield clean and free of decals or obstructions.
- Monitor the device during use and perform basic troubleshooting if it loses power or malfunctions (support provided).
- Communicate clearly with the team and make real-time adjustments as needed during the route.
- Report progress or issues promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- A reliable vehicle without a vertical windshield (no delivery vans, trucks, or motorcycles)
- A functioning car cigarette lighter port to power the device
- Strong knowledge of Saskatoon/Regina roads and locations
- Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS
- Basic technical competency to troubleshoot device issues with remote support
- Strong communication skills and adaptability
- Availability from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (or during sunlight hours)
Commitment: This is a short-term, 4-week contract position (with the possibility of extension) staffed via HireArt. This position will be onsite and available to candidates local to the Saskatoon/Regina, Canada, area.
