HireArt is helping a top ride-hailing company hire an experienced Audio-Visual Event Engineer with deep expertise in AV conference room systems and live event support.
In this role, you’ll manage, maintain, and troubleshoot AV infrastructure at the company’s Seattle office. You’ll ensure the seamless operation of conference rooms, event spaces, and live broadcasts while driving process improvements across AV and IT systems.

As an Audio-Visual Event Engineer, you will:
In this role, you’ll manage, maintain, and troubleshoot AV infrastructure at the company’s Seattle office. You’ll ensure the seamless operation of conference rooms, event spaces, and live broadcasts while driving process improvements across AV and IT systems.

As an Audio-Visual Event Engineer, you will:
- Provide end-to-end AV support (on-site and remote) for:
- Conference room systems (Google Meet, Zoom, Logitech equipment, Q-SYS)
- Audio/video equipment, projectors, displays, and digital signage
- Live event needs (all-hands, webinars, town halls, corporate events)
- Design, implement, and maintain AV/IT support processes, including audits and optimizations.
- Troubleshoot AV hardware and systems (Chrome, Logitech, Q-SYS, etc.).
- Operate and support live in-office broadcasts, rotating between audio, video, and graphics roles.
- Maintain and operate live event equipment (Q-SYS ecosystem, LED displays, PTZ cameras, projectors, Mac Minis, etc.).
- Manage AV-related software, deployments, upgrades, and maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Resolve escalated AV/IT requests via the Helpdesk system with high customer satisfaction.
- Support hybrid/remote workers with reliable video conferencing.
- Track and maintain AV inventory, recommending upgrades/replacements as needed.
- Maintain clean, organized AV spaces (booth, storage, equipment rooms).
- Travel occasionally to domestic and international sites.
Requirements
- 5+ years of IT/AV support experience, including senior troubleshooting and project leadership
- Advanced knowledge of AV troubleshooting (cameras, mics, amplifiers, displays, AV-over-IP)
- Expertise with enterprise conferencing tech (Zoom Rooms, Google Meet, Crestron, Q-SYS, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of networking (switches, routers, WiFi, VLANs) and AV performance impacts
- Experience managing Apple devices in enterprise environments (JAMF or similar)
- Advanced troubleshooting of macOS, Apple hardware, and peripherals
- Familiarity with ticketing/workflow tools (JIRA Service Desk, Confluence, etc.)
- Excellent leadership, collaboration, and mentoring skills
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities across multiple projects
- Ability to lift and move AV equipment (50+ lbs)
- Prior experience supporting corporate events or large-scale meetings
