Job description

HireArt is helping an autonomous ride-hailing company hire an Engineering Technician, Hardware Manufacturing to support projects in the Engineering Lab.

In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic hardware, ensuring high-quality, timely results.

We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, innovative, and self-motivated, able to take on challenges and work effectively with minimal supervision.

As an Engineering Technician, you'll:
  • Assist engineers in developing and refining manufacturing processes.
  • Assemble and test electronic hardware from prototypes through short-run production.
  • Support alternative assembly techniques and resolve technical issues.
  • Perform quality inspections on lab work and final product testing.
  • Maintain accurate, clear communication and documentation.
  • Keep work areas organized, safe, and compliant.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree with 4-6 years experience in electro-mechanical assembly
  • Technical training (e.g., soldering, trade school, OJT classes) preferred
  • Ability to read technical documents and schematics
  • Experience using a computer for data entry and internet-based tasks
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Proficiency with standard assembly tools (cutters, crimpers, soldering irons, torque tools, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with soldering, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and signal generators
  • Experience in low-volume product development/manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of IPC-610, IPC-620, or J-STD-001 standards
  • Proficient verbal and written English language skills

Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience supporting virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)
  • Familiarity with VMware-based VDI platforms and tools
