HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find an Operations Specialist to help make sure vehicle calibrations are up-to-date and statuses are reported across multiple teams.
In this role, you'll ensure fleet vehicles are primed and ready for daily use by deploying software and troubleshooting both new and existing issues. You'll also assist with the deployment of software to fleet vehicles and conduct pre-mission checklists at the beginning of each day, as well as throughout the day, as the operations schedule dictates.
This role is based in Austin, TX, and offers one of the following schedules:
Tuesday–Saturday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Sunday–Thursday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
As an Operations Specialist, you'll:
In this role, you'll ensure fleet vehicles are primed and ready for daily use by deploying software and troubleshooting both new and existing issues. You'll also assist with the deployment of software to fleet vehicles and conduct pre-mission checklists at the beginning of each day, as well as throughout the day, as the operations schedule dictates.
This role is based in Austin, TX, and offers one of the following schedules:
Tuesday–Saturday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Sunday–Thursday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
As an Operations Specialist, you'll:
- Work across various teams to determine the calibration status on all fleet vehicles.
- Manually drive test fleet vehicles to collect data after upgrades or repairs are performed.
- Process collected data and utilize tooling, which consists of a terminal, GUI, and version control software, to marshal the processing of sensor calibrations.
- Conduct on-vehicle and offline validation.
- Clearly and concisely communicate with necessary teams and channels on the status of each calibration.
- Collaborate with the company's technical and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and communicate solutions.
- Ensure that the vehicles, equipment, and the workplace are clean and ready for use.
- Provide logistical support for the movement and storage of vehicles/equipment.
- Assist with paperwork and documentation related to vehicle readiness.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Clean/excellent driving record with zero points on it
- Pass a background check, MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check, and drug screen
- Must comply with the Substance Abuse Policy
- Recent hands-on experience in the autonomous vehicle industry
- Ability to quickly problem-solve and deliver in high-pressure situations
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and deliverables
- Meticulous and possessing a strong attention to detail
- Great communication skills
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Excitement about fleet management and autonomous vehicles
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior experience with Git
- Proficiency in Jira/Confluence
- Proficiency in MS Office/Google Suite, especially Excel or Sheets
