Job description
HireArt is helping our client find a highly skilled Triage Operations Specialist to help develop cutting-edge automated driving solutions.
In this role, your primary duties will be to dig into on-road test issues that the autonomous driving system could not adequately handle and work with development teams to address the identified root causes.
You will also help in the development of tools and scripts to automate aspects of the testing, investigating, and reporting aspects of the job.

You will also help in the development of tools and scripts to automate aspects of the testing, investigating, and reporting aspects of the job.
As a Triage Operations Specialist, you will:
- Work closely with both the Field Operations and core engineering teams.
- Analyze complex streams of information (e.g., logs, video files, sensor data) to triage and identify issues detected during autonomous vehicle drives.
- Interface with core engineering teams to communicate and discuss issues to gain an understanding of the overall autonomous driving platform.
- Use 3rd-party and proprietary tools as part of the triage process.
- Provide scripting support to help automate the triage process.
- Create and continuously monitor expert level bug reports for use with our in-house AI triage tool.
- Help maintain dashboards and data filters (e.g., Jira, SQL) used to gather interesting test scenarios.
- Work closely with a team of other Triage Operations Specialists.
- Help maintain documentation of the triaging process and the self-driving system.
- Some travel may be required.
Requirements
- Experience as a test engineer (software, QA, or other) analyzing, debugging, and triaging complex systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Customer-focused, organized, thorough, and meticulous
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence
- Experience using Python, terminal scripts, git, and SQL
- Able to create and expand Python scripts to give productivity reports and visualizations of progress for other teams
- Prior experience in autonomous or robotic systems
- Experience with calling AI agents via API
- Fluency in Japanese
