Job description
HireArt is helping our client hire Remote Assistance Operators to provide continuous remote monitoring and real-time decision-making for autonomous vehicles under constant supervision.
This role is critical to ensuring fleet safety and reliability during the transition to fully driverless operations — without an onboard safety engineer.
The ideal candidate will have experience in technical support, dispatch, or operations, strong decision-making skills, and high attention to detail. This person will also have a basic understanding of autonomous vehicle systems or a strong willingness to learn.
As a Remote Assistance Operator, you'll:
This role is critical to ensuring fleet safety and reliability during the transition to fully driverless operations — without an onboard safety engineer.
The ideal candidate will have experience in technical support, dispatch, or operations, strong decision-making skills, and high attention to detail. This person will also have a basic understanding of autonomous vehicle systems or a strong willingness to learn.
As a Remote Assistance Operator, you'll:
- Actively monitor an assigned vehicle using the Remote Command (RC) interface and multiple camera feeds.
- Proactively intervene when necessary using system tools.
- Log all interventions and key observations in real time (Notion/Google Sheets).
- Conduct post-trip reviews and flag any anomalies.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions and contribute to the edge-case knowledge base.
- Track and report operational metrics.
- Ensure a clean shift handoff by communicating key context to the incoming Shift Lead.
Requirements
- Proficiency with confluence\Notion, Jira\YouTrack, and Google Sheets
- Excellent digital literacy and ability to learn new tools quickly
- Basic understanding of U.S. traffic laws and road safety principles
- Detail-oriented with a strong organizational mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with video footage or surveillance systems
- Familiarity with task and project tracking workflows
- Background or interest in transportation, logistics, or compliance
Working Conditions:
- On-site work from the Remote Operations Center in Austin, TX
- Rotating shifts, including weekends
- Availability for both morning and evening shifts required (schedule flexibility preferred)
